Hockey Insights is an independent, fan-built project covering the 2026 NHL Draft. This page explains who owns what, how we use third-party names and images, and how to reach us with a correction or takedown.

Hockey Insights is not affiliated with, endorsed, sponsored, or approved by the National Hockey League (NHL), any NHL club, the Canadian Hockey League (CHL/OHL/WHL/QMJHL), EliteProspects, NHL Central Scouting, or any league, team, or governing body. All projections, rankings, and commentary are our own editorial opinion and are provided for informational and entertainment purposes only.

Trademarks & team logos

“NHL”, the NHL Shield, the word marks and images of the Stanley Cup, and all NHL team names, logos, and marks are registered trademarks and/or copyrights of the National Hockey League and its member clubs. They appear on this site solely for identification and editorial commentary (nominative fair use) — to indicate which team holds a pick or drafted a player. No sponsorship or affiliation is implied, and no claim of ownership is made over these marks.

Player photos

NHL player headshots shown on the Team Pipeline and Draft History pages are official NHL images, used for non-commercial, editorial identification of players in an NHL organization.

2026 draft-prospect photos are used only where the photographer has released them under a free licence (Creative Commons or public domain). All such photos come from Wikimedia Commons and are credited below. Prospects without a freely-licensed photo are shown with a monogram rather than a copyrighted image. We do not display watermarked or all-rights-reserved photographer images.

Data sources

Player identity, statistics, and rankings are derived from public sources — including EliteProspects, the NHL’s public data, NHL Central Scouting, and individually-credited public mock drafts and rankings. The site ships static snapshots of this data; it is not a live feed. See About data for freshness dates and methodology.
