What this profile page includes

The Profiles route is a public top-100 reading surface, not a private scouting model. It uses the consolidated consensus rank from the local EliteProspects-derived 2026 draft-center export, then joins the same local player identity fields, current team and league, size, handedness, NHL Central Scouting context, NHL Combine invite context, latest regular-season rows, event rows, and source-rank rows that power the rest of Hockey Insights Draft.

The separate `player_profiles_2026.json` layer is intentionally curated. Generated fields can be rebuilt from local JSON, while researched notes and quotes are preserved with their source, author, and date. Coach, GM, and scout quotes are dated to the current draft cycle and every snippet is checked verbatim against its cited source before it is published — nothing is paraphrased into a fabricated quote. CHL draft paths are extracted from public biography text when a WHL, OHL, QMJHL, or CHL Import Draft selection is visible, and official league or club sources are added to the curated note layer as they are verified.

Rank order

Cards stay ordered by consensus rank by default. Rank badges show source spread and source count, while the full public source matrix remains available on the main draft-order and board drawers.

Stats

Skaters show goals, assists, points, and points per game. Goalies use wins, save percentage, goals-against average, and shutouts where the local export provides those fields.

Research notes

Public references favor visible sources with author/date/url metadata. Direct quotes are kept short for copyright safety; broader scouting context is paraphrased and linked back to the original source.
